The Word on the Street
about the Restaurant ...
"The Long Hill ladies enjoyed a
delightful lunch at Sunflowers Cafe. The service, food and
environment were super!"
- Longhill Estates Ladies Luncheon Club
"Great find ... Fantastic brunch at
Sunflowers Cafe--in the former Aylmer's Grille location on Main
St. My Key West benedict featured two delicious crab cakes;
dining companion's California Benedict had some nice smoked
salmon. Eggs are locally sourced, hollandaise was excellent.
Coconut cream pie for dessert was sublime. The rest of the menu
looks inventive--there are not too many choices in the Monadnock
region, and this place is worth a detour."
- Chowhound.chow.com
"Great Cafe! Delicious cafe
with a unique menu. The food is fresh and made to order. Each
time I go there's always something new to try, the soups are
excellent and the service is friendly." - from insiderspages
"Sunflowers is a cozy bistro with a
gourmet twist ... homemade soups, dinners and desserts are to
die for!" - Rick, Jaffrey
"The soup was a real hit -- no one has had real Cape Cod clam
chowder in so long!" - Elaine & Paul, Fitzwilliam
"While on Main Street you might want to take time to eat
... Sunflowers Cafe ... serves up spinach portobello ravioli
at dinner, hot meatloaf sandwiches at lunch and a killer smoked
salmon pizza, just to name some of the choices."

"...Sunflowers Cafe (593-3303)
..., a bright little dining room with excellent soups,
sandwiches and salads at lunch, an early dinner menu and superlative
cakes anytime." New Hampshire Magazine, February, 2007
“We were visiting from Connecticut, and came across
Sunflowers Restaurant. It turned out to be our lucky day. We had
a fabulous meal. Every aspect of the service and the meal was
perfect. We visit NH often, and plan to stop in each time we are
near Jaffrey." – Michele
L., Wolcott CT
“When one sits in front of an exquisite meal, one cannot help but feel special. And you did just that for all the GSA's attending lunch at your place yesterday. It was wonderful! My only regret was that I could not choose ALL of the menu.”
- Norma A., Granite State Ambassador
“Thank you again for your kindness and generosity in serving us last week long after your restaurant was closed! We were so touched by your hospitality (not to mention that the food was
delicious and the atmosphere lovely!) Judy and I were saying if only your café was closer, we would be regulars.” - Judy and Faye, Dedham, MA
"Monday Night Bistro is a smaller menu than other evenings, but just as good. Pizza, Mexican, baked comfort food, sandwiches. My wife had the Chicken Divan and I enjoyed an enchilada plate. Both were delicious! . We really enjoyed ourselves. Good food, quieter than some places, good service. And, open on Monday evening. I highly recommend it."
- Lee, Fitzwilliam, NH

“The food was incredible. So many guests have said that it was the best they've ever had at a wedding. The service was awesome...everything was perfect."
- Walpole, NH
"Strawberry rhubarb pie is hardly a seasonal item [in December], but Sunflowers provided a magnificent pie for Lynne, luscious brownies for Stan, and adorable meringue mice for Soko and Tillman... The complete reliability of Sunflowers and their willingness to do a small job for an out-of-state stranger, tells me that they could and would handle any challenge to their creativity and artistry."
- Hornell, NY
"The food you made for the reception was delicious and beautifully arranged. Thank you for
the thoughtfulness and care you gave it. We will certainly sing your praises as a caterer."
